Ok, let’s get something straight:
Shooting star is a common name for the visible path of a meteoroid as it enters the atmosphere, becoming a meteor.
Photographing as usual, takes some planning ahead. When shooting night sky, you’ll want to calculate your exposure time settings in order to avoid star movement. For this photograph I used The 500 rule (Exposure Time = 500/ (Focal Length X Crop Factor)). Do not forget about warm clothing and tea (presence of girlfriend or boyfriend is highly recommended) because long exposures can sometimes bring cold in the morning 🙂
One piece of advice: look for crooks who photograph plane trails saying they caught a shooting star 🙂
